This is a purple sunbird (Cinnyris asiaticus also called Nectarinia asiaticus ) collecting nectar from drumstick tree flowers. It is in its non-breeding season. It is a female bird; the male one has a black patch on the chest. In their breeding season the males change the colour of their feathers to shining purple-black.
